Josh cut his teeth in emergency services after he hit a deer on his Harley Davidson. The local volunteer fire department came to his aid and when he could walk again, he stepped up to say thank you by becoming a fireman/paramedic. Josh began his warranty career in consumer auto. As a broker for numerous programs he realized there was nothing like those programs for emergency service vehicles. In the summer of 2020, Josh went to work designing the outline of the warranty program he wanted to build. The outline was conceptually simple but hard in actuality because the problem was trying to find a way to standardize a program where every vehicle is custom. Josh’s knowledge of these vehicles and the communities they serve helped to bridge the gap and connect the warranty world he knew to the emergency service world he had come from. Along with Josh’s insight on the vehicles and programs, he brought with him exceptional relationship-based skills. As a first responder, he knew how to communicate in the most demanding situations. When things are tenuous, is when you will find Josh out front leading the charge to positive solutions. The leadership roles, the lifesaving opportunities, and his worlds colliding made him the CEO that others were willing to follow down the path to protecting America’s heroes.
MEREDITH CROTEAU
Chief Operating Officer
The Vital Trends COO grew up steeped in the tradition of emergency services in an extended household surrounded by firemen, paramedics, and police officers. Her father’s apparatus sales business sparked her interest at a young age regarding the rules and regulations of how apparatus is built and sold. During her 15 years of experience in both consumer auto and fire apparatus, Meredith honed her product knowledge, sales, and marketing skills. Prior to joining the Vital Trends Team, she was focused on event production and logistics for a new apparatus expo. Meredith drilled into every aspect of that expo from things as big as advertising campaigns and load-in plans to items as small as marketing materials. An eye for detail is the most important component for an event of this size. Meredith spent the early part of her involvement with Vital Trends researching and surveying her connections in apparatus and emergency services. That work shaped the program into what it is today with insights from real world end users who told her not only what breaks and how hard it can be to get a resolution, but also just how expensive it is. Her detailed oriented nature is essential to the production of the program and the day-to-day workings of the team. Meredith made use of her many years in the emergency services environment to ensure the Vital Trends Emergency Services warranty program fit the custom nature of these custom vehicles.
